The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) entered into force on 25 May 2018. For almost a year now, companies have been working with their implementation and have devoted enormous resources to it. Nevertheless there is still a great deal of uncertainty as to whether they meet the requirements and what to do. The article deals with the relevant changes by the GDPR, the state of implementation and the existing effects on practice.
