With the acquisition of MECADAT, Hexagon strengthens the support for its Manufacturing Intelligence division's production software portfolio in the region
Through its subsidiary Vero Software GmbH, Hexagon AB (publ) has signed an agreement to acquire all shares in MECADAT AG, a distributor of CAD CAM software – including Hexagon's VISI production software – and complementary solutions for tool and mould making. Headquartered in Langenbach, Germany, the company employs almost 30 people and supports an extended network of sub-resellers serving the wider regional market. The German Cartel Office issued the required clearance within only six working days, so that the acquisition can be completed at the beginning of 2021.
